The award is among the most respected in the industry and has been recognizing groundbreaking off\u2011highway powertrain innovations for 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Powertrain International Editor\u2011in\u2011Chief <strong>Fabio Butturi<\/strong>, the decision was straightforward: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.agcopower.com\/product\/core80\/\">CORE80<\/a> represents exactly the kind of technical courage and innovation we want to highlight. The award truly belongs to the entire Core engine family, which opens a new era for AGCO Power across tractors and other off\u2011highway applications.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Designed for Demanding Off\u2011Highway Applications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Core engine family is built for the most challenging agricultural, construction, forestry and material\u2011handling machines. The architecture also supports future powertrain technologies, including hybridization and alternative fuels such as hydrogen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCORE engines demonstrate that modern internal combustion technology continues to have a clear role in the energy transition,\u201d Butturi states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AGCO Power Vice President <strong>Juha Tervala<\/strong> sees the award as a recognition of the team behind the innovation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis award belongs to our entire AGCO Power organization. Our Linnavuori plant brings engineering and manufacturing, quality, purchasing, aftermarket and the whole corporation\u2019s powertrain R&amp;D under one roof. Steel pistons and a variable\u2011geometry turbocharger (VGT) deliver rapid response, strong engine braking and improved efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe achieved top\u2011tier performance without a complex EGR system or two\u2011stage turbocharging, significantly improving reliability,\u201d Asikainen adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ready for Future Energy Solutions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Core engines are not only a new diesel platform but a foundation for future propulsion systems. Their architecture supports electrification, hybrid systems and carbon\u2011neutral fuels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All AGCO Power engines already operate on renewable HVO diesel, and development continues at AGCO Power\u2019s Clean Energy Laboratory, which is preparing testing capabilities for hydrogen, methanol and other upcoming energy sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Core family is just the beginning.
