“The Temple”…Goshen Indiana’s newest Wedding Venue https://visionprostudios.com/the-temple-goshen-indianas-newest-wedding-venue/ Sat, 23 Mar 2024 03:00:47 +0000 https://visionprostudios.com/?p=672 THIS is one repurposed building with so much nostalgia and vintage look, elegant and unique with a blend of Historical and Nostalgia era…this venue will be TO DIE FOR in the coming wedding seasons!

Opened March of 2024, The Temple boasts so many awesome features, that I will try to cover all of them here. From the moment you enter this wedding venue, you can feel the presence of history. Italian decor from 1927 with the original lighting fixtures…So beautiful….brides will be lining up for this once in a lifetime venue.

You are taken into the venue that has 3 floors to it, a Photographer’s dream with staircases, billiard room, HUGE kitchen to cater in or cook your own meal, and the Theatre style ceremony area that will make you feel like Princess Diana when getting married…seating above the ceremony, with additional chairs that could be added in the main ceremony area. A stage that has so much history to it, where you stand to say your vows….SO impressed with this…who’s gonna book first?

You can also view the ballroom here

Visit their website for more photos and information regarding this one of a kind venue.

Lane and Tabatha Labelle https://visionprostudios.com/lane-and-tabatha-labelle/ Thu, 21 Mar 2024 03:58:31 +0000 https://visionprostudios.com/?p=668 One of our last weddings of season 2023, was Lane and Tabatha, married at Hilltop Memory Makers, in Coral, MI. I spent many hours over this wedding video tweaking it to make it feel and look the way Tabatha and Lane felt about each other.

Tabatha made an exceptionally beautiful Northern Girl, country and proud of it bride. Lane during their ceremony vows and introduction told his guests that even to the day they say I do, he was in awe of thinking that Tabatha was going to be his wife. He felt he was way out of her league, as he put it.

But the look in her eyes and the way she held him, just spoke volumes of what she thought about her new found husband. Her vows were just as much meaningful too. As I watched them look at each other, I glanced over at Tabatha’s Dad….and that’s all it took..I can tell that here was a man who raised all of his daughters to feel special, to love them and show them he would give them the world….and when you have a father who loves his daughters that much, they grow up looking for a man who will cherish them…just like Dad does…and Tabatha found her man.

The Milestone Barn Venue https://visionprostudios.com/the-milestone-barn-venue/ Tue, 19 Mar 2024 03:34:15 +0000 https://visionprostudios.com/?p=655 Another hidden gem out in the country..The Milestone Barn…nestled and accessible from Lansing, Flint, and Saginaw. I arrived early..like early when nobody was there early….walked the property, sun was coming up and the dew was glistening still of of the greenery and plant life. I noticed a larger building that was for the Bride’s quarters, and then walked the rest of the property to see the actual barn and other buildings and props. The barn had 2 levels which was cool, an overlook for the dances and hangout above the crowd. The bar was located down stairs and away from the main entrance and tucked away in a corner away from the majority of the space near the dance floor.

I thought that was cool, especially with people getting their drink on, and not being in the way of anyone. Bathrooms were tastefully decorated, clean, and ready to go for the wedding. In Sydney’s and David’s wedding video, you can see all of what I am describing here, the location for the ceremony, and the larger field where we took some sunset video and pics. Catering is a flash, because they have their own entrance to the barn and can set up in minutes from that entrance..very close and it made for one heck of a meal that night…of course, Sydney had Crank’s Catering out of Detroit, and their food no matter where you go is always fresh, hot, and wonderfully seasoned and tasty…I have had some of the best tasting Lamb prepared by these people in my life..so delicious.

Main wedding table was set up next to the DJ and Sydney and David wanted their wedding party to sit with their wives and husbands, sop the main table was just them..it fit nicely that way. All in All, Milestone Barn impressed me and I look forward to filming there again this wedding season.

MillCreek Wilde Wedding Venue https://visionprostudios.com/millcreek-wilde-wedding-venue/ Tue, 19 Mar 2024 02:48:05 +0000 https://visionprostudios.com/?p=651 We had a blast at this wedding venue. The dance floor and bar are separate from the dining room. They have one of the best prop setups we have seen to date with the guys separate from the ladies. A perfect gazebo off from the ladies building to get Dress and intimate photos or bridal photos, ample parking, and lots of greenery and plant life, flowers. A nice campfire area too that sits around where nearly 50-60 people could sit.

Tastefully decorated with vintage and older artifacts from yesterday. Dining room quite large can hold up to 200 guests, outside cabana bar and ceremony area. We were pleased with the proximity too where things were located and closely placed together. Lots of windows 3/4 away around the dining room, allow natural lighting in with less backwash even on Sunny days. I was pleasantly impressed with the look, feel, and vibe.

Visit our client’s gallery for nice pics of the venue in action here

Greg and Jennifer Gross https://visionprostudios.com/greg-and-jennifer-gross/ Sun, 17 Mar 2024 18:59:34 +0000 https://visionprostudios.com/?p=624 Let the celebration of these two lives BEGIN…that was the mood and the vibe these two gave off in one of the most epic weddings we have filmed to date. I had the pleasure of working with Jill Allardyce-Miller Photography who was Greg and Jessica’s Photographer, while we captured the videography of the day.

Let’s start with Jessica…when you watch the videos below, you will see that this was one large wedding party of bride’s maid’s with matron and maid of honors. Flower girl and ring bearer. Nearly 30 people not including the officiant and our bride and groom stood up for this wedding. Greg and Jessica chose Shanahan’s Barn and Wedding Venue in the Charlevoix and Petoskey, Mi area. The venue is located on Charlevoix Golf & Fitness Country Club and is very spread out. Jill and I had a Golf cart to travel back and forth to the venue, and where Jennifer and the ladies were getting ready. Here’s a behind the scenes look at Jennifer and the ladies getting ready and their bridal party shoot with Jill and Jessica

Jill is an efficient photographer, making every minute count. You may be wondering why I am promoting Jill and her photography…well it’s simple. We work well together, and I refer business to her, and she refers business to me. Following her lead in the shoot, and taking the time to capture what she envisions saves me time and allows us to flow together in capturing the wedding day. I seperate myself a few times to get the normal shots I need for the theme Jessica wanted, but in all, the flow and the capture adds a documentary style to the shoot. It is crucial to have a team that works well together and compliments each other, and that’s what it was like the very first time we worked together. Jill’s final edited pics are crisp, with perfect skin tones, with no wash of a orange or rustic look that seems to be popular among some brides. Really, that’s just a lazy hack and applies what we call a LUT to all pics. It gives off too much of a rustic look on everything.

Greg and Jennifer had roughly 200+ guests at their wedding, and an awesome DJ Chris Redburn who I met the second time at their wedding. We met the first time at Devin and Cali Hager’s wedding in Saline, MI. Chris rocked the house and delivered a awesome performance. Chris is typically booked well in advance for his talent and is part fo a band too making music videos.

Greg was the perfect gentleman all night with his new bride. With a wedding party this large, it was challenging mostly for Jill to get pics in an orderly fashion. But the wedding party came together and made it happen. Greg was a big help with that, gathering folks and making sure nobody ran off too quickly for the bar..lol

They all partied until the wee hours of the morning when I had packed up just after 11pm. One of the most exciting weddings we had a privilege to film to date.

John and Amanda Soave https://visionprostudios.com/john-and-amanda-soave/ Sun, 17 Mar 2024 03:59:17 +0000 https://visionprostudios.com/?p=620 A trip down memory lane and it brings us to John and Amanda Soave. Our FIRST paid wedding film and complimentary photography gig. John and Amanda were married October 14th, 2017. Its been 7 years since we filmed this wedding. And I can remember almost all of it without watching the wedding video. Amanda had her family and friends decorate the VFW Post venue in Halloween decorations, as you can see in the wedding video. It was the beginning of several Halloween Weddings we would film from that point forward. It was our first attempt at producing our craft. Fresh off of wedding school for Kandise Parker, lead photographer at VPS and lot’s of money invested in camera equipment, we marched forward to make our debut.

Im certain that after I send this link to Amanda and John, they will watch their wedding video again. Recently, a daughter was born, and their family has grown again with 2 children now. It was a pleasure to see John and Amanda thriving and still in love…and that’s what makes this profession worth every minute doing.

Greg and Rachel Blanco https://visionprostudios.com/greg-and-rachel-blanco/ Sun, 17 Mar 2024 03:33:43 +0000 https://visionprostudios.com/?p=617 The wedding of Rachel and Greg was filmed at Rouch World Banquet Hall and Event center, Sturgis, MI. It’s been nearly 3 years since we filmed this wedding. We arrived the day of the wedding, and there had been several weeks off and on of some pretty nasty thunderstorms that had rolled through the area. Several areas were out of power. But Rouch was prepared just in case. The weekend before at The Medalist in Marshall, MI we had the same possible outcome, with no power from hundreds of downed power lines across the region.

Greg and Rachel’s wedding was to start at 3:30pm, outside at the ceremony facility at Rouch. At 3pm, the power went out to the entire venue….and like clockwork, Rouch owners got to work getting their generators turned on and powering up the facility. At 3:40, we were ready to go, and power also got restored. Thanks to the excellent choice of Greg and Rachel of venue, and the owners, we were able to start on time. Greg and Rachel hired us for video and DJ services…here is their wedding video.

Dan and Jordan McLean https://visionprostudios.com/dan-and-jordan-mclean/ Sun, 17 Mar 2024 02:59:03 +0000 https://visionprostudios.com/?p=613 Dan and Jordan’s choice of venue was a hometown advantage for them at Potawatomi Inn at Pokagon State Park. Not our first time at the venue, and certainly has not been our last. Thanks to Jordan and her good friend Jennifer, we landed the Prom and Formal Dances for the Angola HS now for the last 3 years.

Dan and Jordan were animal lovers and had their fur babies as part of their wedding photo and video. This couple, laid back and ready to get married and PARTY was a blast to work with. One of the BEST flower guys on the face of the Planet was there to strut his stuff and make sure flowers and shots were being distributed. All in all, just a fun and memorable wedding. On a more somber note, Jordan had lost a baby sister to a rare form of cancer known as DMG. She is remembered in their wedding video. Conlei was only 13 when her battle ended. Jordan is an active member along with her mother and involved in several organizations raising awareness of this form of cancer, raising funds to help fight and find a cure.

It’s so humbling…that couple after couple have a story to tell, and how each of their lives touch yours in ways you would have never experienced had you not been a part of their wedding day.

Dan and Jordan have since welcomed their first child to the world, and has only increased their love and protection of each other. AND, baby #2 is on the way due in September, 2024!! So Congrats to Jordan and Dan!!. We were so pleased and happy to have been a part of their day!! Big Thank you to Nicole Wilkinson for helping me on the day of the wedding, Owner of Moments to Memories Photography, Union City, MI.
